1. Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV), a vision of the Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi and India’s only university specializing in the Transportation and Logistics sector, established under an Act of Parliament in 2022. Operating under the Ministry of Railways, GSV focuses on various sectors including Railways, Aviation, Ports, Shipping, Highways, Waterways, Logistics and multi-disciplinary research and training. A Central University established under an Act of Parliament in 2022 specifically established to create a resource pool of best-in-class professionals.

2. Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya offers multi-disciplinary programmes, both at UG and PG levels, designed to cater to the needs of India’s Transportation and Logistics sector. The Institute follows a demand-driven curriculum, while aligning with industry priorities. To ensure best-in-class delivery of education, the Institute follows a highly experiential and unique inter-disciplinary pedagogical system that incorporates the latest technologies such as live classrooms and online programs and delivered by high-quality faculty with global exposure.

3. GATI SHAKTI VISHWAVIDYALAYA invites applications from the eligible candidates for the following non-teaching positions to be filled on Deputation/Direct Recruitment. Incumbents will be eligible for all the benefits in the Scale of pay offered.

Essential Qualifications:

Direct Recruitment

i) A Bachelor’s Degree from any recognised Institute/ University.
ii) Three Years’ Experience as Superintendent in the Level 6 or eight years’ as Assistant in Level 4 in any Central / State Govt./ University/ PSU and other Central or State Autonomous Institutions or holding equivalent positions in any reputed Private companies/ bank with annual turnover of at least Rs.200/- Crores or more.
iii) Proficiency in Computer Operation, noting and drafting.

Deputation: Officers holding analogous post on regular basis or with three years’ regular service in Level 6 or equivalent in the Central/ State Govt./ Universities or autonomous organizations and possess the Bachelor’s degree, as prescribed for direct recruits, above.

Essential Qualification:

Bachelor Degree from a recognized University / Institution. Three Years of experience as UDC or equivalent in the Level 4 in Central/ State Government/ University/ PSU and other Central / State Autonomous Bodies or equivalent pay package in the reputed private Companies/ corporate banks with a minimum annual turnover of at least Rs.200/- Crores or more.

Proficiency in Typing, Computer applications, noting and drafting.

Library and Information Assistant

Qualification:
1. Master’s Degree in Library & Information Science from any recognised University /Institution with 02 years’ experience in the relevant field in a University/Research establishment / Central / State Govt. / PSU and Library of other autonomous Institutions. OR Bachelor’s Degree in Library / Library and Information Science from any recognised Institute/ University with 03 years’ experience in the relevant field in a University / Research Establishment / Central / State Govt. / PSU and Library of other autonomous Institutions.
2. Knowledge of Computer Applications.Deputation:
Employees of the Central/ State Government, Autonomous or Statutory Organisation, PSU, University or recognized research institution;
(i) Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department.
(ii) With 5 years’ service rendered as Semi Professional Assistant/ equivalent in the Level 5 or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.
(iii) Possessing the qualifications prescribed above.

6. GENERAL CONDITIONS / INFORMATION

(a) Essential and desirable qualifications to apply for the positions are explained at Para 3 above.

(b) It may be noted that those who satisfy the essential prescribed qualifications only will be considered for further selection procedure.

(c) Incomplete Applications or Applications received after the due date will not be entertained and be summarily rejected.

(d) GATI SHAKTI VISHWAVIDYALAYA reserves the right to shortlist the candidates even with higher criteria than advertised and, also not to fill-up the positions advertised in case of non-availability of suitable candidates.

(e) In case of higher number of applications, GSV reserves the right to shortlist the candidates adopting higher criteria than indicated in the advertisement to limit the number of candidates to reasonable level, for further stage(s) of recruitment

(f) Also, GSV reserves the right to cancel the advertisement on a later date. No enquiries in this matter will be entertained.

(g) The date for determining the upper age, qualification and/or experience shall be the closing date of submission of online applications

(h) The candidate has to indicate the category under which he applies for transparency in the fresh recruitment process. They will be considered only under that category if desire to be considered.

(i) Mere fulfilment of the above-mentioned qualifications/experience etc. does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. In case, the number of applications received is high, it may not be convenient or possible for the University to interview all the candidates. The Institute may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than that of the minimum prescribed in the advertisement, through a shortlisting process. Candidates should, therefore, furnish all the qualifications and experience possessed in the relevant field, over and above the minimum qualifications prescribed.

(j) Candidates, who are presently employed in Govt. / PSU / organisation under Government / Autonomous bodies etc., need to submit an NOC from the employer along with the Application or they must produce the NOC prior to the interview.

(k) GSV may offer a lower level to the candidates during recruitment.

(l) Relaxation in age (over and above the stipulated limit), educational qualification and/or experience may be considered in case of exceptionally meritorious candidates with the approval of the Competent Authority.

(m) Application once made will not be allowed to be withdrawn and refund of application fee will not be made under any circumstances.

(n) Probation as per GSV rules will apply to the Direct Recruits

(o) Candidates are required to indicate and correspond on the email-id they use frequently as all correspondence will be made only by emails.

(p) Private organizations considered for Direct Recruitment must have an annual turnover of at least Rs. 200 Crores or more.

(q) A non-refundable Application Fee of ₹750/- + GST shall apply to applying to UR and OBC positions. No application fee is required for PwBDs category, SC/ST candidates and Women & Transgender candidates. The application fee is to be paid through the payment gateway by Internet banking/debit card/credit card.

(r) Applicants who are employed in Government, Semi-Government Organisations or Institutions/ autonomous bodies should send their application THROUGH PROPER CHANNEL or a NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE from the employer should be produced by the applicant at the time of the interview.

(s) The age on the closing day of the advertisement will be reckoned for further process.

(t) All supporting documents provided and the application form must bear full name and signature of the candidate on each page at the bottom.

(u) GSV reserves the right to summarily reject the incomplete applications and also, to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason.

(v) GSV reserves the right to waive/relax any conditions; GSV reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of vacancies or not fill the any position.

(w) Selection will be based on test/interview as indicated against this position and only the shortlisted candidates will be intimated of the date, time and mode of the test/interview.

(x) Candidates applying for more than one position or for positions in multiple disciplines are required to fill-in separate applications solely through online mode.

(y) The candidate is responsible for the correctness of the information provided in the application form. If it is found at a later stage that any information given in the form is incorrect/false, the candidature/appointment is liable to be cancelled/terminated.

(z) Merely fulfilling the eligibility criteria does not entitle a candidate to be shortlisted. GSV may decide higher criteria/ cut off for shortlisting (than prescribed).

(aa) Outstation candidates called for interview shall be reimbursed travel expenses from the place of residence to the place of interview (Vadodara) and back (by the shortest route) as per instruction in the call letter, on production of tickets/invoice etc.

(bb) No interim correspondence will be entertained. Canvassing in any form shall lead to automatic disqualification.

(cc) GSV reserves the right not to fill up any / all position(s) / select any candidate without assigning any reason.
